CooCoo Smart Site, Release date 1 October 2021

The Story of the 5-page website that became a revolution, from February - September 2021...

After months of preparation and testing, and continuous updates, enhancements, and additions, we finally have an official launch date for our CooCoo Smart Site System!

What started as a quest for a quick and easy way to make professional websites for clients has exploded into a true revolution and a work of art.

CooCoo Smart site was started as a "Joomla Based 5+ page website in under 1-hour" project in February 2021, but when the designer, Stanley Rieck, started seeing the benefits of the site, and the potential it could become, more adventurous targets were introduced. Soon the 5-page website, which already included a Gallery and a Blog, was increased to a 10+ page website, with 5 additional "Generalized Pages" added to provide any additional pages a client might need. This was an easy addition to the CooCoo Smart Site, and Stanley Rieck was not overly enthralled with this, even though it did add more value to the site.

Then things took a turn... in a new direction in April 2021...

The CooCoo Smart Site was working beautifully, the final layout was beautiful, and the 10 Page site worked well... but there was something missing. Stanley Rieck had numerous discussions with his team about what clients needed. After days of discussions, ideas, brainstorming, etc., the decision was made to add something "Special" to Version 1.3. The addition of a "Services & Products" page was introduced, along with a "Contact Form" that needed no setting up at all from the client's side, had a working map, and automatically included a "Hidden Capture" for Security and anti-spam reasons.

So the Launch date was set for the 1^st of June 2021... more testing was done, the site was again working beautifully... but Stanley Rieck needed more! Even though this was a truly great system, and the site truly could be designed in under an hour, and could easily be sold for R2500.00 - R4000.00 each. So we decided to do more research about what our potential clients had on their current website. Looking at hundreds of websites for 3 days, there was still one thing lacking from the "CooCoo Smart Site System". The client's current sites were badly designed, and they were not professional in any shape or form, but what was lacking, was content.

Sure... the site now having "eleven pages", with an automated Contact Page including Captcha, Contact Form, and Map, was still well worth the expected retail price of R4000.00 for the site, especially considering that this website was built with Professionally Paid Joomla Components, costing more than R5600.00 in licensing fees per year. So the team picked up one issue, that approximately 1/3 of our potential client's websites, had more than 1 Contact Page. So immediately we introduced a further 4 Contact Pages, each with it's own Map, Contact Form that goes to the selected Branch/Department, and its own built-in Secure Captcha.

Stanley Rieck felt this was a definite requirement for the CooCoo Smart Site Website Builder, and now the website accommodated for businesses with multiple branches, or who wanted support, sales, info, etc., pages with their own contact details, form, and map. So the site was still set for Launch with Version 1.5 of the CooCoo Smart Site, on the 1^st of June 2021.

This was still not good enough! Stanley Rieck felt there was more to offer!

2 weeks before the launch date of 1 June 2021, after building just short of 300 CooCoo Smart Sites in under 2 months, a change to the system was requested by one of the designers, that would change the way the CooCoo Smart Site System would evolve. The request was a "seemingly simple one", add one more page to the site, for clients who need a "Team Member's Page". Stanley Rieck was not impressed, and reluctant, stating that this was not a "value-added page" for clients, that this would not benefit clients, and he was considering that this was not even an easy task to accomplish. There were only 2 weeks to launch, 300 sites had been built and would need to be changed? After 2 days of arguments with his team, Stanley Rieck took a day off to consider what this meant for the CooCoo Smart Site Project! Anyone who knows Stanley Rieck knows he does not take a day off, ever! On the fourth day, the decision was made, that the "Team Members Page" was not just an additional value for the CooCoo Smart Site, but was one of 8 Additional Major changes that needed to be made! The launch date was postponed... again!

Careful consideration, research, and looking at hundreds of sites... again... The final tally was added up, and the 8 changes were confirmed for production;

1. "Awards Page" displaying up to 12 Awards.
2. "F.A.Q.'s Page" displaying up to 10 F.A.Q's.
3. "Packages/Pricing Page" displaying up to 9 Packages.
4. "Ignite Gallery", users may add unlimited Additional Galleries, with 5 layout options.
5. "Team Members Page" displaying up to 9 Team Members.
6. "Testimonial Page" displaying up to 10 Testimonials.
7. "Colours, Font sizes, Font styles, and Header size" of the website can be edited.
8. "Automatic SEO" to All pages, including keywords on Home/About Us & Additional Pages.

The additions took a month, lots of coffee, overtime, and very long hours. An outside developer was brought in, as the CooCoo Smart Site, needed to be "Smart". Stanley Rieck's vision of creating a site for any business, which was quick to set up, but still easy enough to manage by someone with no "Design Skills, or coding knowledge", had grown into a "Monster". Thousands of Rands in development, testing, research, more testing... and "Tins" of Coffee was consumed... However, the 5-page "Infant", had grown into a Mature, 17+ Page Marvel! The CooCoo Smart Site was complete! Everyone involved was proud of the creation... "This" was a "Smart Site"... there was even some alcohol consumed :)

Launch dates were again being discussed... testing had been finalised, and the changes were made to the 300 websites that were Pre-built!
